The OFI-BIPM optical fiber identifier is an easy to use tool that determines if a fiber is live, the transmission direction, and the relative core power on standard and bend-insensitive single-mode and multimode fibers. Its positive-stop trigger mechanism provides the right pressure every time to assure proper detection while keeping loss to a minimum. This ensures that traffic will not be interrupted, and fibers will not be damaged. The OFI-BIPM can also be customized for ONU detection.
The OFI-400 Series are rugged, hand-held and easy-to-use fiber optic test instrument designed to detect and measure the core power levels of optical signals on single-mode optical fiber without disrupting raffic on that fiber. The OFI 400 is designed and calibrated for use with 250µm, 900µm, ribbon, 2 mm and 3mm jacketed optical fibers.

The light generated by these units will escape from sharp bends and breaks in jacketed or bare fibers, as well as poorly mated connectors enabling technicians to quickly spot faults. The universal connector interface mates with many connector styles without needing an adapter.
