The Bench Top model Network Simulators from AFL are custom-designed fibre boxes. Bench Top models can hold up to 15 Km of fibre and can be ordered with customer-specified events and fibre lengths. Network Simulators are intended to duplicate installed fibre networks. Training schools, laboratory testing or field troubleshooting are just few of the many applications for these portable units.
The FTTx PON Simulator from AFL is designed to simulate a wide variety of FTTx PON architectures. It is field-configurable to implement both single splitter and distributed splitter PONs and may be used for lab or table-top FTTx PON demonstration, evaluation, and testing applications.
NSR model Network Simulator from AFL are custom built rack mountable fibre boxes. The NSR model can hold up to 100Km of fibre and can be ordered with customer-specified events and fibre lengths. Network Simulators are intended to duplicate installed fibre networks and are ideal for class room training and laboratory testing.
Fibre Rings from AFL are often a necessity when testing with an OTDR. Both a launch and receive cable are required to measure complete link loss of a fibre with an OTDR. Because very long test cables are impractical to transport and use, AFL offers coiled lengths of 50 µm multimode, 62.5 µm multimode, or single-mode fibre conveniently packaged in compact rings.
