Spartanburg, S.C. | January 8, 2024 | AFL, an international manufacturer of fiber optic cable, equipment and accessories, announces it is the recipient of the 2023 Missy Gieselmann Collaboration Award, presented by SCMEP’s OpExChange. This distinguished award recognizes OpExChange members who are actively engaged in knowledge sharing and demonstrate the most collaborative spirit within the network.

AFL joined OpExChange, a peer-to-peer network of manufacturers and distributors in South Carolina, in 2022. AFL frequently hosts OpExChange collaborative events at its Duncan facility. Beyond offering plant tours, AFL hosted an all-day Power Analytics workshop this year showcasing how the Accessories division of AFL utilizes Power BI to boost warehouse efficiency and control.

“We are extremely proud to be recognized for our contributions in the OpExChange. Our associates have been instrumental in our success. Their engagement in the process is the driving force behind our achievements,” said Eric Borowicz, AFL Accessories General Manager. “We extend our gratitude to OpExChange for fostering a collaborative environment that encourages members to freely share and exchange ideas.”
