09/22/2019
Spartanburg, SC – AFL, an industry-leading manufacturer of fiber optic cable, equipment, and accessories, is exhibiting at the ISE Expo in Fort Worth, Texas, September 25-26. Visit AFL in booth #327 to see its newest product releases including the ASCEND™ platform, OptiNID Duo, and Wrapping Tube Cable with SpiderWeb Ribbon®, among other products.
The ASCEND™ platform is a modular, high-density rack-mount solution designed for data center applications. Whether supporting incremental growth or a full-scale deployment, the ASCEND solutions deliver optimal fiber management and ease-of-use. The ASCEND solution is comprised of high-density fiber housings, optical cassettes, patch cord assemblies and trunk cable assemblies. Take a sneak peek and view our video here.
AFL’s OptiNID (OPN) Duo Optical Demarcation Enclosure is ultra-compact and has the capability to house up to four SC simplex or LC duplex adapters, and 18 single fiber or six mass fusion splices. The OPN Duo also has several optional features such as a clear splice/security cover for protecting provider-side connectors and a grounding plate for grounding armored or toneable drop cables. AFL’s Wrapping Tube Cable (WTC), with SpiderWeb Ribbon® (SWR), is an ultra-high density outside plant cable designed specifically for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) or access markets. With an ultra-high density and a ribbon technology called SpiderWeb Ribbon, WTC provides the smallest cable diameter and lowest weight, high-fiber count ribbon cable in the industry. The cable is available with 144 fibers to 1,728 fibers in the armored option and up to 3,456 fibers in the non-armored configuration.
Be sure to stop by the Demo Zone to see AFL’s FlexScan Quad OTDR, designed specifically for contract installers and network operators deploying and maintaining both single-mode and multimode networks, including Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Passive Optical Networks (PONs), Passive Optical LANs (POLANs) and point-to-point networks.
