Tony Dunstan
President, Australia and New Zealand
Tony Dunstan is the President of AFL's businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Tony joined AFL in 2018 and is responsible for leading a team of 170 associates across the Cable, Connectivity & Equipment product portfolios. AFL in ANZ operates two manufacturing facilities in Melbourne, with a branch network in six major city locations servicing customers across each of the AFL Tier 1 Markets.
Before joining AFL, Tony worked for Nexans Olex, the largest Power Cable manufacturer in Australasia. Tony began his tenure at Olex in 1997 in a Corporate Strategy role and was part of a Management Buyout that sold to the French-based Nexans Group in 2005. With Nexans, Tony held the roles of New Zealand Country Manager & ANZ Sales Director before being appointed CEO. Tony began his career at Price Waterhouse, working across the practice areas of Business Advisory, Professional Development, Financial Accounting, and Corporate Finance for 8 years.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne, a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Finance & Securities Law from FINSIA and has completed an Executive Management Development Program at INSEAD (France). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and an Advisory Board Member for the Centre of Transformative Innovation at the Swinburne University of Technology.
